Abstract:

Nanotechnology has emerged as a promising field for various applications, including catalysis, water treatment, and agriculture. The synthesis of nanoparticles using botanical sources has gained significant attention due to its eco-friendly and sustainable nature. This review article provides a comprehensive overview of recent developments in the botanical biosynthesis of nanoparticles and their applications in catalysis, water treatment, and agriculture. It discusses various plant-based materials, such as extracts, biomolecules, and phytochemicals that have been utilized for nanoparticle synthesis. The review also highlights the characterization techniques employed to analyse the physicochemical properties of the synthesized nanoparticles. Furthermore, it explores the catalytic, water treatment, and agricultural applications of these nanoparticles, including their potential mechanisms and performance in relevant systems.
