Abstract:

A well-defined and futuristic educational policy is essential for a country at the school and university level, as education leads to economic and social progress. Different countries adopt different educational systems considering tradition and culture and adopt different stages during their life cycle at school and university level to make it effective. The Indian government recently announced its new education policy, which is based on the recommendations of an expert panel led by Dr. Kasturi Rangan, former president of the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO). This paper proffers and highlights of impact of NEP on technical higher education and given suggestions for effective implementation of the policy.
